Why I'm fundraising...

Hi,

I've just signed up to The Ovar-Dressed Walk London, to raise funds for Target Ovarian Cancer, a cause that is very important to me as a dear close friend Tamsin Lemkow was diagnosed with ovarian stage 3 cancer in July. The diagnosis came as a complete shock to all of us, it seems incredibly unfair that someone as young, fit and healthy as mum-of-one Tamsin would have to go through something like this.

The picture is from my 50th birthday celebrations where we also celebrated Tamsin's 50th, a couple of years ago in Ibiza :)

Let's raise funds and bring awareness to a very worthy cause, aiming to spread love, light and strength to anyone who themselves, or their family or friends are affected by ovarian cancer.

Please sponsor me, Tamsin and friends as we walk 5k through REGENT'S PARK dressed in fancy dress on SUNDAY 20th Oct and support my efforts to raise awareness, fund research, and save lives.

Besides walking, I am also an active runner and have signed up for the following forthcoming races. I have been keeping to my pledge to race two Half marathons a year for as long as I can but also, in April next year, take part in first Full marathon.

13th Oct 2024 BOURNEMOUTH Half marathon (21km)

16th March 2025 BATH Half marathon (21km)

6th April 2025 BRIGTHON Full Marathon (42km)
