Why I’m fundraising...
Hi There, Thanks for visiting my page. I am running the London Marathon 2024 to raise money for targetovariancancer. My sister-in-law has been bravely battling stage 4 Ovarian Cancer for the last 5 years. To see what she has endured has motivated me to raise as much money as I can for this charity. Every early diagnosis is potentially a life saved.

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.
Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.
Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.
Raise awareness. Fund research. Save lives.

Finished
Friday 26th Apr
Final 10K
Sunday 14th Apr A week to go and ran a steady 56 minute 10K today.
Last half marathon.
Sunday 7th Apr Started a little quick, but still completed in two hours.
Got hit by car
Saturday 6th Apr Bit of a setback on Wednesday. Stupidly ran across a Zebra without looking properly and got clipped by a car that also ran over my foot. Was half way through a 10k. Cuts and bruises but remarkably fine considering. Managed to complete the run and added a 5k on Friday. Half marathon to come on Sunday as my taper starts. Share
Last long run
Sunday 31st Mar Hi, Today completed my last long run which was 20.3. Miles, in a tad under 3hrs 20.
This isn’t getting easier
Sunday 24th Mar Felt terrible today. Still completed an 18.2 mile run in just under 3 hours. But…. That doesn’t include the multiple stops after 13 miles.
Hills are bad!!!!
Monday 18th Mar Chose a run through Bushey yesterday. OMG that was hilly. Struggled through, but had to walk up one steep hill at one point.
16 miles ran on Sunday!!!!
Thursday 14th Mar Getting there.
1st half marathon
Sunday 3rd Mar Still behind schedule, but getting there. Easy 14 mile run today. (My legs didn’t think it was easy tho). Share

Wednesday 28th Feb A 6.30 start for my 7 miles run to work was a little Tough.
It’s tough!!!
Monday 26th Feb Pulled a calf muscle and missed 6 weeks training over Christmas.
