London Marathon 2027

Why I’m fundraising...

On 25th April 2027, I will be taking part in the London Marathon in memory of my mum, Barbara Torbett. 💚

Mum sadly passed away from ovarian cancer in July 2026. Throughout her diagnosis and treatment, Target Ovarian Cancer supported her every step of the way. She was welcomed into their community and met so many amazing people throughout her journey and even fundraised and campaigned with Target to help raise awareness and support other people affected by ovarian cancer.

Ovarian cancer affects thousands of women and their families, and we would like as many people as possible to be able to access the amazing support that both Mum and our family received from the charity.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us support Target Ovarian Cancer and continue the incredible work they do for people affected by this disease.

Taking on a marathon is very much outside of my comfort zone, and I’m fully aware that I’ll probably be questioning all of my life decisions by mile 20 🤣😭 But knowing I’m doing it in Mum’s memory will give me something to keep me going.

For my beautiful Mum — my person, my soulmate and forever our angel. 💚

I’m taking part in the London Marathon 2027 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
