Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the London Marathon 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January,which was a huge shock but fortunately a relatively early diagnosis allowed it to be removed after several surgery's ... many people are not diagnosed at this stage .. there is still no basis screening test and symptoms often are not present untill the cancer is at a later stage ...because of the grade of my cancer I am having to undergo 6 cycles if chemotherapy... I'd love to raise more awareness of ovarian cancer especially in younger people and some of the few symtoms I did suffer from which lead to an early detection.
