Lata’s Angels

In memory of Savarn Lata

To all of my lovely friends, family, and colleagues,

Today marks a very special and emotional day for us. Our family — children and grandchildren included — will be taking part in the Target Ovarian Cancer Walk 5k at Regent’s Park in loving memory of our beloved mother, Savarn Lata Dass.

On 6th December 2025, it will be 10 years since we lost Mum to ovarian cancer. We walk today to honour her life, her strength, and her endless love — and to support all those who have been affected by this disease.

We would be so grateful if you could support us by donating to Target Ovarian Cancer, helping to fund vital research, improve early diagnosis, and provide support for women and families affected by this illness.

Every donation, no matter how small, truly makes a difference.

Each year, around 7,500 women in the UK are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and sadly, survival rates have not improved significantly in 30 years. Target Ovarian Cancer is the national charity dedicated to changing this — working to save lives and ensure women live theirs to the fullest.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your donations, and your continued support. 💙

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.

Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.

Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.

Raise awareness. Fund research. Save lives.

This challenge is so much more than a walk—it's a rally for change and a beacon of hope for those affected by ovarian cancer. Keep going, you're making a huge difference. We're sending you all our love and support as you walk to create a future where no one has to lose a loved one to this disease. This silent killer stole our dear Mother from us in 2015. Love you, bless you All ❤️
