Why we're fundraising...
We’re running the London Landmarks half marathon on 7th April this year for target ovarian cancer. This charity is fantastic and is doing wonders to raise awareness of this under diagnosed women’s cancer. We’re running for my friend and colleague Kate whose strength, optimism and determination is an inspiration to everyone. And also in memory of my dear friend Gosia who wasn’t diagnosed in time. We still love her very much.
We’ve set a goal of £1300 to raise £100 for every mile we run.
Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.
Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.
Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.
