Why I’m fundraising...
In 2027, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon in memory of my wonderful mum, Sandra, who passed away in 2017 after a very sudden battle with ovarian cancer.
Ten years on, I wanted to do something special to commemorate Mum and honour her memory. Running the London Marathon in her name feels like the perfect way to do that, while also raising vital funds and awareness of ovarian cancer, particularly the symptoms women should look out for and the importance of early diagnosis.
I’ll be raising money for Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – raising awareness of the symptoms, helping to achieve life-saving early diagnosis, supporting better treatments, and being there for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
This is going to be a huge personal challenge, but every mile will be for Mum. ❤️
By supporting my fundraising, you’ll not only be helping me honour Sandra’s memory, but also helping Target Ovarian Cancer transform the future for everyone diagnosed with this disease.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will mean so much to me and my family. And if sharing my story helps even one woman recognise the symptoms earlier and seek medical advice, that will make this journey even more worthwhile.
