Team Ness

In April 2026, Team Ness will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in honour of our amazing Mum, Vanessa Jetson, who is currently fighting Ovarian Cancer, and in memory of our beloved Gaga, Valerie Smith, who sadly lost her fight against this disease in 2012. 

Mum is putting up the strongest battle and we want to do everything we can to support her. She has put her body through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and major surgery, so we thought running a half marathon is the least we can do!

Ovarian cancer often goes undetected until it reaches advanced stages due to the lack of routine screening available. This reality underscores the urgent need for increased awareness, research, and funding. By supporting our campaign for Target Ovarian Cancer, you can help change this narrative and make a difference in the lives of many women, like mum, facing this battle. 

We are aiming to raise £2,000 to contribute towards vital initiatives that will help improve early detection and treatment options for ovarian cancer. Every single penny counts!
