London Marathon 2027

For our lovely mum

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our fundraising page for the 2027 London marathon.

For those who don't already know our story, we lost our wonderful mum to ovarian cancer in April 2024 after an incredibly brave year-long fight.

Our mum was truly amazing, both inside and out. She was one of the most hardworking, kind and selfless people you could ever meet. As a headteacher, her school was her second home. She dedicated her life to giving every child at Park Primary School the care, encouragement and opportunities they deserved. She treated every child as if they were her own and made a lasting difference to so many young lives.

Outside of work, she was a loyal friend, loved outdoor swimming, and never missed the chance to get involved in the local village panto. She brought warmth, laughter and kindness wherever she went. She is deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

She wasn't just our mum, she was our Superwoman. Somehow, she managed to lead a school, work tirelessly and still give us everything she had. The love, strength and dedication she showed every single day continue to inspire us. If, one day, we're even half the parent she was, we'll consider ourselves incredibly lucky.

Losing her has left a space in our lives that can never be filled. We miss her every single day. Taking on this challenge is our way of honouring her memory and living by the words she always reminded us of: ‘Carpe Diem’, seize the day.

We hope that, one day, fewer families will have to experience the heartbreak that ours has.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to us. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Together, we can help make a difference.

Love,

Ethy and Seb
