Why I’m fundraising...
Every year, I try and take on a new challenge in memory of Mum, to raise money to help make a difference to the lives of people with cancer.
11th April 2026 will mark 10 years since Mum lost her fight with Ovarian Cancer. So this year on 12th April, I will be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon!
I will be representing Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
There are around 7,400 new ovarian cancer cases in the UK every year, that's 20 every day - Mum was one of those and with new research, hopefully we can make a difference.
Anyone that knows me, will understand that this is a huge challenge for me. I am not a natural runner, currently a 5km run is the furthest I would attempt!
