Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026

Why I’m fundraising...

I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 for Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. I've now worked at the charity for 7 years, so I've seen first-hand the difference that we make, and why our work is so important.

Currently, ovarian cancer is diagnosed so late that 1 in 7 women die within two months of their diagnosis, and 1 in 5 are already too ill to receive any treatment. However, if diagnosed at the earliest stage, 9 in 10 women will survive.

Target Ovarian Cancer works to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives, by: raising awareness of the symptoms with the public; working closely with GPs and health professionals to improve their understanding of ovarian cancer and best practice for diagnosis; funding research into kinder and more effective treatments; campaigning for change, including an improved diagnostic pathway and better access to treatment; and providing vital support to anyone and everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

I'm very grateful for anything you can give to support my fundraising:

£7 could provide training for one GP to update their knowledge of ovarian cancer symptoms.

£17 could fund one call to our nurse-led support line.

£35 could fund one hour of ground-breaking medical research.

£50 could provide 50 people with our symptoms information leaflets, making sure they know when to visit the GP.
