Great North Run

Why I’m for fundraising...

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.

Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.

Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.

Raise awareness. Fund research. Save lives.

Now’s the time to help us

Sunday 1st Sep
Pretty much everyone who knows me knows about The Stringers and Cancer.

My friend Steph Stringer is very seriously ill with Ovarian cancer. I can’t say any more than that. Very seriously ill.

How can you help Steph? Quite frankly you probably can't!

But you can help other mothers, sisters, daughters and countless others affected by this awful cancer.

This time next week I will hopefully have got round the 13 miles of the Great North Run. A run I would have been honoured to do with Steph and Andy as we have done in better times.

Please donate as generously as you are able. This is important. Thanks!

Many thanks for your support

Wednesday 21st Aug
I really appreciate your support over that last week or so.

In the interests of honesty I  have to confess that I was unable to complete the race myself this weekend as I have succumbed to a groin hernia. Surgery awaits. The good news is another Antony Kornas - Joseph Antony - was able to take my place completing it in 2 hours and 7 minutes.

I can appreciate that some of you may consider that inappropriate so if anyone does have issue with this I will happily reimburse you for  your kind donation whilst making good any shortfall  in the overall target.

Thanks again!

Bit of an update for you all.

Thank you to my Sponsors
