Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the Manchester Marathon 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
I was diagnosed with Stage 2a Ovarian Cancer and had a major operation in October 2024 followed by 6 rounds of gruelling chemotherapy between January - May 2025. I’ve always ran but never completed a marathon, I’ve decided now is the time!
