Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the Great North Run 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

GNR Training going well
Friday 28th Aug Thanks for looking at my page for ovarian cancer. Training is going relatively well with two weeks to go I’ve done lots of short run and hill sprints, so just need to get a longer one until my belt then stay fit for the next two weeks. I’m raising funds for ovarian cancer as I signed up in June and a local friend’s mum had just, sadly, passed away from ovarian cancer. Rachel - taken far too soon and had battled for 14 years - always smiling whenever I bumped into her in my primary school classes and always helpful! Thanks for donating if you are able to.
