Why I’m fundraising...
On the 19th of August, my beloved Auntie Annie peacefully left this world, just three and a half months after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It’s impossible to put into words how much she meant to us and how much we miss her.
Something my dad and I talk about often is time. Time is the most precious thing we have. It’s something we all take for granted, assuming there’s always more, until suddenly there isn’t. For me, it feels like my auntie was robbed of time.
That’s why your donation is truly about: giving someone else the gift of time. The money I raise will do amazing things, but above all, it will allow another woman precious moments with her loved ones. Time to celebrate another Christmas. Time to meet a new grandchild. Time to laugh, cry, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
My Auntie Annie was the toughest cookie of them all—fierce, sharp, strong, resilient, and unapologetically sassy. She was a force to be reckoned with, and because of that, I truly believed she would stare down ovarian cancer and walk away from it stronger than ever. But she didn’t get the fight she deserved. It wasn’t fair. It broke my heart to watch someone so full of life, someone so unstoppable, be taken down by something so cruel.
So, Auntie Annie, I’m picking up the fight where you left off. This time, I’ll make sure it’s a fair fight—for you, and for every other woman who deserves better. Round 2 starts now.

I am so proud of you for doing the marathon. Your description of Auntie Annie is spot on. Auntie Annie was a force of nature. The world lost a shining light on the day that God called her back to heaven.
