London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024

Why I’m fundraising...

So shockingly I have signed up for another half marathon.

This time is a bit more personal as I am raising money in memory of my aunt Jackie who passed away from Ovarian Cancer in December 2019.

Jackie was diagnosed with stage 4 in October and unfortunately went undiagnosed due to the symptoms being things you could face on a daily basis. At stage 4 only 15/100 women will survive for 5 or more years after diagnosis and has gained the nickname the silent killer as a result.

I appreciate it is a tough time for everyone but would be grateful for any donations that you can make!

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.

In the world of charity, Billy takes the lead, A half marathon, a noble deed. Bald head shining with a generous heart, He runs with purpose, each step a work of art. Billy, the Doberman, they fondly name, For in his touch, a kindness to acclaim. Not in a weird way, but a gentle embrace, He touches kids, leaving smiles in their trace. With love for charity, his passion soars, A commitment that opens countless doors. In every stride, a pledge to give, A mission to touch lives, helping them live. Kids feel comfort in his caring touch, A warmth that means so much. Billy's love for charity, an endless flame, And touching kids gently, his heartfelt aim. Through miles of purpose, he makes his way, Fuelled by love, brightening each day. The Doberman's run, a symphony of grace, Charity and kindness, in every embrace. No weirdness dwells within his touch, The Doberman, they say, a nickname as such. Through every step, a purpose strong, For the children's hearts, where they belong. In the running rhythm, a symphony sweet, Billy's journey, a noble feat. So cheer for Billy, the Doberman's run, Underneath the bald, a kindness spun. Half marathon hero, in each stride, For charity's cause, with love as his guide.
