Fundraising for me big Sis who has had to kick Ovarian cancer’s butt recently!!

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.

Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.

Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.

Raise awareness. Fund research. Save lives.

Race eve

Saturday 7th Sep
Well my blogging has been shocking & how things have taken a Summer turn.

I managed to get a grade two hamstring tear at the start of August. I don’t even think it was from running when it went POP!

So I had some choices to make. I hadn’t ran for two weeks which wouldn’t have been the end brill the physio said.  NO that and the excruciating pain when I try and run! NEW PLAN cooked.

There I was. I decided to still walk it. Kept strength training what I could and doing rehab. 

Don’t get me wrong, it made me feel super sad after all those training miles!! BUT I gave myself a slap and thought all this dosh and all these inspo messages and I mean it was a pulled muscle not bloody Cancer!

If ever there was a race you can walk, it’s the GNR.  Costume planning needs firmed up today!

Walking will be worse anyways. Beyond grateful for all these sponsors.

Not long now, so I’m off to hassle people for those last pennies 🤪🤞

Sunday 7th Jul
Hi de ho readers. Channelling me inner Whistledown. Ok so my legs are still intact. The miles have been getting done and my toes are killing. Bloody arthritis. 8 miler on Friday at 5:30 took some grit but I did a little explore run today in Manchester and my body still works after all the Prosecco. The booze is being curbed from 8 weeks (after the hubby’s birthday). Coz shit is going to get serious team!!! Have you sponsored me yet?!! Howay man. 💋 

Blaydon Race

Sunday 9th Jun
Well. I’ve been plodding on with my 10k race plan ahead of this night. It aimed for nice steady miles, fast out first and pulled back. I mean I will stay annoyed coz I could have gone faster, but that was not me plan. It was nice 👀😆 Then my heart was made all full as donations came in. I have some bloody great humans I get to call friends 💕 This will keep me pushing!!!

Day 1

Sunday 26th May
Well. I have mulled it over for a week. It stayed in my mind. 
I’m a stubborn mule and knew I’d cave. To myself that is.
I’ve dabbled with the shorter runs recently and had a big run gaps of a few months.
Managed the odd 10k, but today and just needed to get the miles in the legs to help me make the decision to GNR it.
I won’t say the last time, this time. I said never again, clearly I talk oot me ass!!!
