Why I’m fundraising...
In October 2016, my mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Before her diagnosis, my mum had raised concerns with her GP for years, but unfortunately, the issue wasn’t addressed in time. After undergoing an incredibly invasive surgery and chemotherapy, she continues to inspire me every day.
So, this year, I’m taking part in the Great North Run to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
Please support me in this cause, so that more people can benefit from the awareness, research, and care that Target Ovarian Cancer provides.
