Why I’m fundraising...
This September some of our family will be running the Great North Run to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer. Our run will be in memory of our lovely Nannan Margaret who passed away from ovarian cancer last year.
Over 4000 women lose their lives to ovarian cancer each year in the UK- that's 11 women every day. If diagnosed at the earliest stage, 9 in 10 women will survive.
Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer. Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.
