Great North Run

Why I’m fundraising...

I’m taking part in the Great North Run 2025 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Training update

Tuesday 18th Mar
Due to childcare, Lewis and I are managing to alternate the days we run. It’s been working well this week - our first official week of training over! We are now onto our second. Last week, we both did our very first run to gauge how terrible we are! But we haven’t given up just yet! We’ve done a total of 3 runs each and a swimming session with Cal. This week has started well - I’ve been for my first run of the week and we’ve had a swimming session tonight. 3 more runs for Lew this week and 2 for me. We’re away this week but we’re going to make the most of a pool with no toddler and get in some lengths! We are currently just trying to build up stamina and become adjusted to a suitable running pace before we tackle any longer distances. Thank you for all the donations so far!
