Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the Manchester Marathon 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

I’m running a marathon!
Friday 9th JanWell.. I said I’d never run again after my first marathon but here I am again! This year I’m taking on my second marathon, and I’ll be running the Manchester Marathon in support of Target Ovarian Cancer — a cause that’s very close to my heart.
My aunty Christine sadly suffered with ovarian cancer, and I’m running in her memory and for everyone affected by this disease.
Ovarian cancer is often diagnosed late because its symptoms can be vague and easily missed. Target Ovarian Cancer works tirelessly to improve early diagnosis, fund vital research, and support women and families through an incredibly difficult time.
Training for the Manchester Marathon is tough, but it’s nothing compared to what those living with ovarian cancer face every day. Every mile I run is for Christine, and every donation — big or small — will help make a real difference.
