Walk for Ovarian Cancer

I will be walking 5k throughout May to help support Ovarian Cancer.

Out of a lot of Cancers, this is one of the 'Silent' ones, in so much as symptoms aren't always known until it's sometimes later in the stages of diagnosis.

Most of you will know, I have my own health issues but this isn't about me, and I am therefore giving myself a month to do it, due to work commitments etc and also to be able to complete with the minimum of mobility issues.

My Lovely Mother-in-Law has been receiving treatment since Nov 2021, and is an inspiration to us all, as she meets every day with a smile and a very positive and upbeat manner, even though some days aren't as particularly good as others.

I know times are difficult for us all at the moment, but if you can maybe spare a few pounds, that would be amazing.

Half of my Walk

Monday 8th May
Well at 5.30am I started the 1st part of my Walk, and walked from our house to and from Tesco, Copdock, for a total of 1.4 miles.

It was a beautiful morning and although I ached before, during and after, I walked with a smile,  reminding myself of the cause and the person I am doing it for, my lovely Mother-in-Law, who has Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer,  and meets each day with a smile and so much positivity. 

Now to complete the other half between now and the end of May, which I will.
