Awareness for Ovarian Cancer

I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2025 to raise awareness for ovarian cancer following my Step Mum’s diagnosis this year.

Ovarian cancer is hard to diagnose as this cancer shares the same symptoms as other infections, illnesses and pains such as UTIs and menstrual pains. This is why it is so important to raise awareness through social media and fundraising for this type of cancer. 

Ovarian cancer can be diagnosed by:
1) Blood test - this checks a protein called CA125 which may show higher if you have ovarian cancer
2) An ultrasound sound

Please ask your GP for these checks if you show any signs of ovarian cancer. It is so important to catch this cancer early.
