Why I’m fundraising...
As some of you may know in March 2012 my Nan was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, by the time it was detected it was already too late and she was told she had 2 weeks to live however due to her doctors and treatment and nans determination she went on to battle this disease for 3 years before she was taken from us too soon.
I’m taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 along with my sister, this is very special to me and I know Nan would be so proud of us, she probably also would be very shocked as I definitely wasn’t a runner back in 2012!!
My nan was so special to me and always will be, I miss her every day and can only wish that her cancer was picked up sooner unfortunately ovarian cancer can be a silent killer as it often goes undetected until it’s too late and I want to help change that, I hope to contribute to better awareness, earlier diagnosis & improved treatment options for others that are affected by this disease.
Loosing my nan to ovarian cancer is the hardest thing me and my family have been through.
Every step I take is in honour of my nan & for all those fighting ovarian cancer any donations would be very much appreciated
