James and AJ run the London Marathon

London Marathon 2026

Why we're fundraising...

We're extremely proud to be running the London Marathon for Target Ovarian Cancer in memory of James' mum, Vicki. Mum passed away in the summer of 2024 from ovarian cancer at 60.

Vicki was an incredibly active person, who rarely missed a parkrun and ran the London Marathon twice. It was devastating for us how quickly we lost someone who was so full of life, and we want to do all we can to improve research and treatment for others.

This will be our 10th marathon, which is a special milestone for us, especially as we are following in Mum's footsteps. As it's our first London Marathon, we'll also be completing the London Classics - an ambition Mum was sadly not able to complete.

About Target Ovarian Cancer:

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.

Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.

Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.

Raise awareness. Fund research. Save lives.
