Cardiff Half Marathon

Why I’m fundraising...

In 2019, my world changed forever when my beloved mother, Judith, lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about Mam.

Her unwavering love and strength continue to inspire me every day.

Mam wore many hats—a devoted mother, a loving wife, a caring sister, a doting aunt, and a true friend. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her laughter could light up a room.

She taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of cherishing every moment.

To honour her memory and mark the fifth anniversary of her passing, I've decided to follow in her footsteps.

Three years before she left us, Mam participated in the Cardiff Half Marathon, a remarkable event that brings together runners from all walks of life.

Now, it's my turn to lace up my running shoes and run those same streets.

But this isn’t just about running—it’s about making a difference.

I’ve chosen to raise funds for Target Ovarian Cancer, an organization dedicated to early diagnosis, research, and support for those affected by this relentless disease.

Mission accomplished!

Sunday 6th Oct
An incredible day; the conclusion of a journey I started 6 months ago, with a commitment to run the very race my amazing Mother ran just a few short years before Ovarian Cancer took her life. I'm so grateful to all who donated to this great cause. That was for you Mam, and all the amazing women out there whose lives are affected by this terrible disease. James.
