Why I'm fundraising...

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.

Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.

Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.

Hello everyone,  First of all thank you for all your support through generous donations and your lovely supportive messages.  I have been very overwhelmed by all of it and proud to have such wonderful friends.

As many of you now know unfortunately I was diagnosed with a recurrence of my cancer.  Second line chemo has started and we keep up the positivity that we have maintained over the last 2 years.  This walk becomes even more important to me in raising awareness of the disease and raising funds.

Mark, Eoghan, Lochlann and I have got our outfits ready and are rearing to go.  Eibhlin will be cheering us on at home whilst stuck in her books revising for the upcoming A levels .

Thank you and watch out for the photos on the 12th...My team The Ova Chicks have contacts in the right places and hope to be on social media on the day , we even have a few local politicians joining us.
