Why I am fundraising..
I’m taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2026 to not only raise funds but also to bring awareness among fellow women, in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
I would be grateful if you could please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

why now?
Sunday 25th Jan I used to run but after bulging discs and degenerative back diagnosis 15 years ago was advised not to run again. Now 15 years later and an updated MRI the original diagnosis has changed which means with Pilates and core strength work I am in a position to run again! This time no PB'S, no time trials just enjoyment. My daughter works for this amazing charity and when she mentioned it I was well why not. But most of all learning about this silent killer, Many of the symptoms of which are put down to womens hormones or menopause or whatever. I have since been educated and if nothing more, me running for this charity I hope will bring awareness amongst fellow women both young and old and to question more about any symptoms that may be being felt. So if nothing else please follow this charity and help educate other women (and men who obviously may notice changes that we women may brush aside!) . Knowledge is power.
