Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 to raise funds and awareness for Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity. Women’s gynaecological health deserves far more attention, funding, and urgency than it currently receives. Too many conditions affecting women are under-researched, under-funded, and too often dismissed, especially ovarian cancer, whose symptoms are vague, easily overlooked, and frequently diagnosed too late.
An issue close to my heart after watching so many of my friends and family suffer because of gaps in women’s healthcare - through delayed diagnoses, limited treatment options, and not being taken seriously when they first asked for help.
Target Ovarian Cancer works to improve early diagnosis, fund vital research, and educate both the public and medical professionals.
