Why I’m fundraising...
In March 2026, Beth, Sam, Karina, Emma and I will be running the Brighton Half Marathon for Target Ovarian Cancer. Additionally, in April 2026, I will also be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 for the same charity💜
Since April 2023, mum had been battling ovarian cancer. During this time, she had undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy but unfortunately, she passed away October 2024 after 18 months of fighting.
Completing these half marathons and raising money for the charity will help to give just a little back for all of the amazing work and research they carry out to help those fighting Ovarian Cancer. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
Last year my sister and I raised money for Sussex Cancer Fund who helped mum throughout all of her treatment and was a charity she chose for us before she passed. Another charity that she suggested us raising money for was Target Ovarian Cancer therefore, as per mum’s wishes, this year we are running to support Target Ovarian Cancer.
Beth, Sam, Karina, Emma and I are hoping to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity!
Any donation would be greatly appreciated💜
