Running for Mum, once again 💙

As I approach my 50th birthday, I’ve decided to take on a challenge that means a huge amount to me — running my second half marathon to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer, a charity that is very close to my heart.

Eleven years ago, I lost my wonderful mum to ovarian cancer. Losing her was one of the hardest experiences of my life, and her loss is something I still carry with me every day.

This will actually be the second half marathon I’ve run for Target Ovarian Cancer, and the second time I’ve had the privilege of raising money for this incredibly important cause. Having done it once before, I know just how much training, determination and probably a fair amount of stubbornness it takes to get to that finish line!

Turning 50 feels like the perfect opportunity to take on the challenge again — to do something positive in Mum’s memory while helping to raise much-needed funds for a charity that works tirelessly to support those affected by ovarian cancer and help improve the future for others.
