Why I’m fundraising...
I'm taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of a very special lady. My Aunty Ann passed away on the 5th of September 2010 from Ovarian Cancer. She was an animal lover and a vegetarian and just an all around wonderful human being. Like most ovarian cancer patients, her cancer was detected at a later stage and this made it much harder to treat. I was 15 when Ann passed away and 2025 will also mark 15 years since her passing.
Because I also turn 30 in 2025, I've pledged to take my love of endurance sports and training to the next level in preparation (fingers crossed) for my first triathlon which I also plan to do for charity. The London Landmarks Half is a brilliant charity race, I've heard it has immaculate vibes, and will be an important part of my training for "the running bit" as I prepare to take on my biggest fitness challenge. This race is not my first half marathon (I took part in the CM half in 2024) but it will be my first race ever for a charitable cause. I hope you'll support me in reaching my fundraising goal of £350!
