Why I'm fundraising...
Andrea, my kind, brave, wonderful wife, lived with Ovarian Cancer for more than 6 years.
And I mean lived... she oversaw a major relocation project at the special school she worked at, she took up photography, lobbied at Parliament for better awareness of the disease, and spent precious time with friends and family whenever she could.
Throughout it all, Andrea greatly valued the support and friendships that the Target Ovarian Cancer Community offered her. When she received the most terrible news about the disease's progression, Andrea asked me to fundraise for Target as she believed in the vital importance of their work.
About Target Ovarian Cancer
I’m taking part in Run 11 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
