London Marathon 2025

Why I’m fundraising...

I’m taking part in the London Marathon 2025 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

My first marathon

Saturday 7th Dec
My name is Paul Shevlin and I am 70 in January 2025. So, why not run your first marathon and not just any marathon but the London Marathon.
I am doing this mad challenge in memory of my wife Carole, who died in May 2020 from ovarian cancer. When we knew the that the illness was terminal, Carole said she felt cheated, cheated out of seeing her daughter walking up the aisle. Hopefully, the sponsorship money will help raise awareness about this silent killer. Too late for my beautiful wife, but there for Mums and daughters in the future.

Thank you to my Sponsors
