Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the Great North Run 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
My Updates
For mum
Saturday 14th FebI never thought that running would become such an important part of my life — but here I am.
In January 2023, I lost my mum to ovarian cancer. Watching someone you love go through that is something that changes you forever. After she passed, I piled the weight on, not that I was skinny to begin with!
I had a wake up call when I shaved my beard and discovered Jabba was underneath it, so I started running to get fit.
Since then, I’ve lost 6 stone — something I never thought I could achieve. Running has quite literally changed my life.
This year, I’ll be running the Great North Run to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer — an incredible charity dedicated to improving early diagnosis, funding vital research, and supporting those affected by ovarian cancer.
This run is for my mum, for everyone who has faced this disease, and for the families who are still fighting alongside their loved ones.
AND, if I raise £500, I will shave my head!
Every donation, no matter the size, helps support life-saving research and gives hope to families facing ovarian cancer. If you’re able to contribute or share this page, it would mean more to me than I can put into words.
Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for helping me run in memory of my mum.
