Why I’m fundraising...

I’m taking part in the Great North Run 2025 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Me and my amazing Mam are doing the Great North Run for Target Ovarian Cancer in memory of our lovely friend Christine who sadly lost her fight to this and is missed so much by her family and friends.

1/4 of a way to our target and we would love to get a close to the target as we can to make a real difference and to help this amazing charity!

Each year 7,400 women are diagnosed 
with ovarian cancer in the UK. Raising awareness of ovarian cancer is vital in improving early diagnosis. Knowing the symptoms of ovarian cancer could save your life.
• Persistent bloating (not bloating that comes and goes)
• Feeling full quickly and/or loss of appetite
• Pelvic or abdominal pain (that’s from your tummy to the top of your thighs)
• Urinary symptoms (needing to wee more urgently or more often than usual)

Money raised helps with trials and testing for early diagnosis which is important to detect this as early as possible.
