Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
Those of you who know me are likely aware that in 2020, I lost my mother to cancer. Her battle began in 2015 with ovarian cancer and she was treated through radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and steroids before being given the all clear 3 years later. Sadly, after a year and a half of remission, the cancer returned in other areas of her body, ending her fight with the cruel disease.
We miss her every day, she was an inspiration to us all and her legacy continues to live on today.
Next year, I will be running the LLHM along with 3 friends who have all lost family and friends to terminal illness, together we want to support the journey to fighting for these causes.
Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
