Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the London Marathon 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity.
Earlier this year, I sadly lost my mum to Ovarian Cancer after her incredibly brave 6 year battle. Anyone who knew my mum can attest to her immense strength and positivity. Even in her final days, she carried the biggest smile, and that spirit is what carries me day to day. Mama was a fighter and always pushed me to tackle any challenge that comes my way so I thought what more of an appropriate way to honour her than to suffer my way through 42 kilometres!
This charity means so much to me and I am passionate about raising awareness for the early detection of ovarian cancer, while also helping to raise money for the research of new treatments.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to run the London Marathon in honour of my mum and also to show my support to all the warriors who have ovarian cancer.
This charity target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
