Why I’m fundraising...
I’m taking part in the Great North Run 2026 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer.
In 2012 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The disease is uncommon in women under 40 and is frequently misdiagnosed. Target Ovarian Cancer provided me with a source of support as I searched for stories of younger women who were facing the same journey as me.
I’d never heard of ovarian cancer before my diagnosis. By taking part in the GNR I hope to raise awareness of the disease amongst younger women and raise some essential funds for Target Ovarian Cancer.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you’re able to help, please donate or share this page. Your support means the world ❤️
My Updates
6 weeks to go..,
Sunday 2nd Aug A huge thank you for all the generous donations ❤️ With only 6 weeks to go I’m spending 20% of my week running and 80% worrying about running. There have been injuries, meltdowns and frustration but there have also been great highs and successes. It’s hard to, but I’ll keep going. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
