The Ovar-Dressed Walk|Run: London

Why I'm fundraising...

I’m taking part in The Ovar-Dressed Walk|Run: London to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Ovarian Cancer

Thursday 10th Oct
Years ago it seemed to be older people who developed cancer but that has been gradually changing and more and more of us are developing cancer at a younger age. We hope that one day in the future there will be a simple injection that can be administered that will stop this disease in its tracks, but until then we need to plough as much money as we can into the research for a cure.

Ovarian cancer is one of the most difficult cancers to treat and that's because the symptoms are very vague, it spreads like a rash and by the time they have become uncomfortable enough to seek help, the cancer has often spread to other parts of the body. Life as you know it really can change overnight, it could be your sister, your mum or your best friend, and if that happens you would give absolutely anything for a cure, so please help us and donate anything you can.

Very importantly, please check the symptoms for ovarian cancer, familiarise yourself with them and GET CHECKED IF SOMETHING IS AMISS, you're not wasting anyone's time, just do it!

And if you're reading this and you have cancer or someone you love has cancer, never ever lose hope, we are with you and we're in this together.

Thank you to my Sponsors
