London Marathon 2027

Why I’m fundraising...

We are running the 2027 London Marathon in memory of our close friend Niamh, who sadly passed away earlier this year from ovarian cancer.

Niamh had already fought off this cruel disease once before, but sadly, even for someone so strong, she was taken far too early at the age of just 53.

Through Target Ovarian Cancer, we hope to not only raise money for such an important cause, but also to honour such an incredibly brave person.  Even in the depths of her treatment, Niamh always had such a positive attitude.

It makes it all the more special that we watched Niamh run this race just a few years ago herself for a charity very close to her heart.

We’re doing this for Niamh because she deserved so much more time with Toby, Finn and the rest of her family and friends.

There will no doubt be hard moments, both during training and the race itself, but at those times, we'll think of what Niamh had to go through and it’ll keep us going.

If you knew her you’ll know how special she was and if you didn't we hope this page gives you a small sense of the incredible person we were lucky enough to call our friend.

This is for you Niamhy.
