Why I’m fundraising...
If it hadn’t been for my surgery on Valentine’s Day 2024, doctors wouldn’t have discovered STIL—pre-ovarian cancerous lesions—in both of my fallopian tubes. That operation may have saved my life. I’m still under the cancer pathway and due for my final consultation on Wednesday 3rd September in Bristol, where I’m hoping to hear I no longer need PET/CT scans. I know how lucky I am—so many people are diagnosed late because the symptoms mimic endometriosis pain. That overlap is dangerous, and it’s why awareness and early intervention matter so much.
That's why I’m taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon 2025 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
