Why I'm fundraising...
I’m taking part in The Ovar-Dressed Walk|Run: London to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer. Almost 2 years ago I was diagnosed with an 11cm ovarian tumour resulting in major surgery to remove the tumour and ovary. Even though the tumour has gone, ovarian cancer will impact the rest of my life with regular check ups, blood tests, MRIs and eventually further surgery. Charities like Target Ovarian Cancer offer support to those affected by ovarian cancer and help understand and accept how it will impact life moving forward.
They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
