Why I'm fundraising...

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide support to women with ovarian cancer.

Awareness of ovarian cancer is low, its share of UK research funding has dropped and three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they do not get the support they need.

Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival and get the right support at the right time, in a way that's right for them.

We will be walking from St Brides to Marloes and back, probably with a swim at the end!

It's May 8th, International Ovarian Cancer day

Monday 8th May
I set this up a while ago, and today seems a suitable day to publicise it

 We are now booked onto a trip on the Paddle Steamer Waverley on the 18th June, so will probably do our walk on Saturday, 17th June.

I still haven't managed to sort out the 'team', but hey!  If anyone else would like to join us our walk - and we are WALKING - let me know.

Walking on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path

Monday 3rd Apr
In celebration of our 45 years of married life we are again fundraising for Target Ovarian Cancer.

Unfortunately our 'local' walk/run, in Bute Park Cardiff, is on the 11th June, when I will be dancing elsewhere! So we have decided to take the option of doing out own walk, locally, on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, probably the following  Sunday 18th June, though , we might change the day if it's raining! Also, there is no section of that path that is exactly any number of  kilometres, so we will be doing more than 5K but probably less than 10!

I had tried to set this up as a joinable team event, but messed up something somewhere so, untill I get it sorted, Leigh is included in Jo Rihan (!), but more importantly, if anyone wanted to join us on the Coast Path please contact me, at [email protected]  (no facility for adding a link, you will need to cut and paste!).
