London Marathon 2025

Why I’m fundraising...

I lost my beautiful Mum to this awful disease in 2022. It happened so quickly, less than a month from diagnosis.

My Mum Sharon was a very fit,  happy and healthy 65 yr old enjoying life.  Mum started to experience mild typical ovarian cancer symptoms which worsened over time. Unfortunately these symptoms went misdiagnosed for weeks before she was finally admitted to hospital and diagnosed with the disease. She unfortunately died less than a month later in hospital.

I would hate for anyone to have to go through this terrible experience.

I’m therefore taking part in the London Marathon 2025 to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Please support my fundraising, and together we’ll transform the future for everyone diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Thank you Laura for choosing such a worthy cause. A cause so close to all our hearts. Mum will be with you every step of the way. She always is ….. My wish is that all your efforts will not only raise a lot of money but will also raise awareness of the symptoms of this terrible disease and the need for the introduction of a screening programme particularly for women at high risk of contracting Ovarian Cancer. ❤️
