I’m Back….and Why I'm fundraising...
After losing my mum Tricia suddenly to Ovarian cancer in 2023 I decided to take part in this event last year - I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - being a non runner learning and training to be able to complete an 11K run was a huge achievement to me. The response and support I had from family and friends most who knew my mum but lots that didn’t🥹 - you all had my back 💜 and I wanted to created a memorial ‘thing’ I do each year to remember my lovely mum but also to raise much needed funds into this devastating cancer.
So I’m taking part in Run 11 again to raise funds and awareness in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer, the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means symptoms awareness, life-saving early diagnosis, better treatments and support for everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
