Why this is important;
This year, we wanted to do something meaningful - something that actually makes a difference to real people’s lives. That’s why we’re fundraising for Target Ovarian Cancer.
Before we started looking into this, we realised how little we actually knew about ovarian cancer. And that’s part of the problem.
Ovarian cancer often goes unnoticed because its symptoms are easy to miss. By the time many women are diagnosed, it’s already late. That shouldn’t be happening - not in 2025, not when early diagnosis can save lives.
But awareness is low, and research funding has even been dropping. On top of that, three quarters of women with ovarian cancer say they don’t get the support they need.
Target Ovarian Cancer is trying to change all of this. They work to:

Improve early diagnosis, so more women are treated sooner.

Fund crucial research, to find better tests and better treatments.

Support women and their families, because going through cancer is hard enough without feeling alone.
Illnesses don’t care about age, background, plans, or timing. This can affect mums, daughters, aunties, sisters, friends. It affects whole families. And the thought of someone not getting the help they need when they need it most is not acceptable.
Fundraising is our way of saying:
No woman should have to face ovarian cancer without support. Not one.
By donating or even just sharing our fundraiser, you are helping to:

✅ Support women who desperately need it
We can’t change everything. But together, we can change something.
